I first came into contact with Sherlock Holmes and his creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle through the Various television adaptations of Sherlock Holmes.
 After that I read all of the Holmes stories, and I keep going back and reading them again. It is not so much the solving of each case that is important with these stories, but the methods that are used with each piece of evidence being used to build up a conclusive picture of the way the crime was committed.
